The As-machined surface is the surface of a machined object that has been ground to its final form.
There are two types of as-machined surfaces: the as-turned surface and the as-ground surface.
The as-turned surface is created when a turner turns a bar into a cylindrical shape. The as-ground surface is created when an engineer grinds a flat, square or hexagonal bar into its final form.
Our standard finish is “as machined” finish. It has a surface roughness of 3.2 μm (126 μin). All sharp edges are removed and parts are deburred. Tool marks are visible.
Bead blasting is a surface treatment process that removes material from a metal, glass, or plastic surface. It is used to remove paint, rust, and corrosion from the surface. The process is also known as bead-blasting or bead blasting.

Brushing is a surface treatment process in which abrasive belts are used to draw traces on the surface of a material, usually for aesthetic purposes.

Chromate conversion coating, more commonly known by its brand name Alodine, is a chemical coating that passivate and protects aluminum from corrosion. It is also used as a base layer before priming and painting parts.

First time samples FAI report from supplier is must, and require enough samples from supplier to do inspection and test to work out issue list, discuss with supplier to solve all issues and require second time samples to do inspection & test again until all is good before place an order.
A trial-run production order is necessary before you place big volume order, because some problems may not be found at the sample evaluation process, a trial run production could help to find all issues during production and fix these issues without big lost.
Finally you are happy with the product quality and services from the supplier, it’s time to work out the mass production order quantity, confirm the production lead time, product shipment cost & lead time, customs duty tax cost, then start to issue PO to supplier for mass production.
