  • 1. Ensure that the target is a positive space (the coordinate value is positive)
  • 2. Enter “FACETRES” at the command line
  • 3. Enter a number between 1 and 10, 1 means low resolution, 10 means high resolution
  • 4. Enter “STLOUT” at the command line
  • 5. Select the target model
  • 6. Input “Y” means output binary
  • 7. Enter a file name – save

4.Autodesk Inventor

  • 1. Save Copy As
  •  2. Select STL
  •  3. Choose Options > Set to High

Use the AMSTLOUT command to output STL files

1.Angular Tolerance– Set the maximum angle difference between adjacent patches, the default is 15 degrees, reducing the accuracy of the STL file can be provided

2.Aspect Ratio–This parameter controls the height ratio of the triangle facet. 1 indicates that the height of the triangle does not exceed the width. The default value is 0, ignored.

3.Surface Tolerance–controls the maximum error between the edge of the triangle surface and the actual model. Set to 0.0000, this parameter will be ignored.

4.Vertex Spacing–controls the length of the side of the triangular facet. Defaults to 0.0000, ignored.

10. ProE / ProEngineer

1. File > Export >Model (or File > Save a Copy)
