Our extensive manufacturing network extends our manufacturing capabilities beyond the walls of our factory.

When all our in-house machinists are occupied, or when a customer has a niche set of requirements, we may turn to our manufacturing partners to complete the assignment.

Our manufacturing partners undergo strict assessment to become part of the 3Q MACHINING manufacturing network, so that we can depend on each of them.

When we think an order is best suited to another manufacturer, we add the order to our manufacturer’s platform, and let manufacturers bid to fulfill the project. In this stage, we deploy an algorithm that helps us determine the best manufacturing partner for the job.

The algorithm takes into account the manufacturer’s proposed price, number of machines, number of employees, how long they have been in business, how their previous orders have turned out, whether their lead times have been accurate in the past and several other factors.

Most importantly, every manufacturing facility on our network has an assigned 3Q MACHINING employee, so that we can oversee the entire project once a partner has been chosen, making sure everything goes to plan.

If you have any doubts on how our manufacturing network works, please contact for more detailed information.

Surface finishing procedures are used to alter the surface texture, smoothness, and appearance of a part, for functional or aesthetic reasons.

Surface finishes are especially valuable for end-use parts, including consumer products, where rough edges and textures may be undesirable.

Different finishes are suitable for varied materials and manufacturing processes.

You may select any surface finish from the Finish list with your CAD file. If a surface finish is not listed, it is not compatible with the material and manufacturing process you have chosen.

The surface finishes we provide include (from a-z):

When submitting a request for a large order, you can demand custom bulk pricing. This is incredibly useful if your order is

a) somewhat flexible and

b) consists of several different parts.

With custom bulk pricing, you can request a quote for different quantity combinations of your individual parts, specifying different order volumes to identify price break levels.

To learn more about bulk pricing, please send email to our support team.

Payment Options

After you approve product costs & lead time & payment term, you can choose your payment option with BANK WIRE TRANSFER.

A wire transfer is an electronic method of moving funds from one account to another. Wire transfers typically take one or two days to complete, with a little extra time required for international transfers, and they are suitable for larger orders because they incur low fees.

3Q MACHINING supports PayPal payments for faster and shorter turnaround times.

If you wish to complete your order with a credit or debit card, you will need a PayPal account, and you will need to connect your card with your PayPal account.

After that, you can summit order payment on PayPal payment page.

Full Dimensional Inspection Report

3Q MACHINING makes parts to tight tolerances. Sometimes, however, you may need extra reassurance about part dimensions.

For all orders at 3Q MACHINING, we can provide a Full Dimensional Inspection Report upon the customer’s request.

Dimensions are verified using a precision measuring instrument (caliper or gauge) and with a Coordinate Measuring Machine when required.

The report includes:

  • Quantity of parts
  • Critical dimensions
  • Threads and tolerances
  • Thicknesses and depths

To request a report, specify your requirement in the Remarks on CAD drawing. If you have already placed your order, contact us by email.

Material Certification

On the request of the customer, we can provide the certification of the material used in the manufacturing process.

This may be necessary if your parts will be used for a high-risk applications, if an independent regulatory body must review your parts before use, or if the buyer of your parts demands such certification.

The report comes from the raw material manufacturer and usually includes:

  • Material heat number
  • Material grade
  • Material dimensions
  • Mechanical properties
  • Chemical analysis
  • Heat treatment (if applicable)

To request a certificate of materials, specify your requirement in inquiry. If you have already placed your order, contact us by email.

For some orders, 3Q MACHINING offers First Article Inspection, in which the customer can receive a sample of their requested order for assessment, before full production begins.

This service is commonplace for Injection Molding orders and can be specially requested for CNC Machining.

As part of RapidDirect’s First Article Inspection program, we will ship two sets of parts to the customer for verification and approval.

Once the parts have been validated, we then move into full production.

If you require First Article Inspection, pls contact us via

Plastic: ABS, PC, ABS+PC, PP, PS, POM, PMMA (Acrylic), PAGF30, PCGF30, Teflon, DHPE, HDPE, PPS, PEEK.

Metal: Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel (17-4, Inconel 625 & 718), Magnesium, Titanium, Zinc, Brass, Bronze, Copper.

These are the most common materials for CNC prototyping and production parts. Besides that, we can work with any type of machinable plastic and metal we can purchase from the stock market.

What’s more: We are able to create a custom plastic block or bar for the material such as PA GF50, PPS GF50. To discover further plastic materials we can do, please contact our team.

CNC machining starts with a computer, on which designers prepare a part using CAD (Computer-aided Design) software. This digital part is then converted into a format that can be recognized by a CNC machine.

Instructions are sent to the CNC machine in the form of  “G-Code” after which the machine can start cutting.

Most CNC machines have a “worktable” and work holding device to keep a block of material — known as the “workpiece” — in place. The worktable may or may not move, depending on the style of the machine.

When machining starts, the cutting tool makes contact with the workpiece, cutting away layers of material. The tool and/or workpiece is moved and/or rapidly rotated according to the G-Code instructions so that cuts are made in exactly the right places until the part is finished.

CNC machining is a fast, accurate and versatile solution for making end-use plastic and metal parts in any quantity, without the need for investing in hard tooling or expensive set-ups. No matter how simple or complex the parts.

As-Machined: The most popular and cost efficient way for inner functional components. Fine and even tool path is also good for aspect parts.

Bead Blasted: The part is left with a matt appearance. Range of 120 to 320 beads allows us to create different roughness to the surface.

Anodized: Type II creates a corrosion-resistant finish. Parts can be anodized in different colors—clear, black, red, and blue are most common—and is usually associated with low silicone element series of aluminum. Type III is thicker and creates a wear-resistant layer in addition to the corrosion resistance seen with Type II.

Powder Coat: This is a process where powdered paint is sprayed onto a part which is then baked in an oven. This creates a strong, wear- and corrosion-resistant layer that is more durable than standard painting methods. A wide variety of colors are available to create the desired aesthetic.

CNC machines include CNC mills, CNC turning machines (or lathes), CNC routers, and Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) machines.

CNC mills have rotating cutting tools that are moved to different areas of the workpiece to make cuts and can be used to make many different pats. CNC lathes work the other way, rotating the workpiece against a stationary cutting tool, and are used to make cylindrical parts.

CNC routers are similar to CNC mills, but have less power and cannot cut the hardest materials. They can, however, be faster than CNC mills.

EDM uses electrical discharges (sparks) instead of a sharp cutting tool to cut material. No physical contact is made between the tool and the workpiece.

CNC machines are often defined by their number of axes. More axes mean they can move their tool and/or workpiece in a greater number of ways, giving greater cutting flexibility and the ability to make more complex parts in a shorter time.

3Q Machining is known as one of the best CNC machining companies in China in terms of quality, speed, and customer service. With high-quality CNC machines, we can easily achieve +/- 0.02mm of tolerance and can even get within +/- 0.01mm. But keep in mind that it can have an impact on the cost.
