3Q MACHINING has a experience for machining quality parts from Brass C36000 alloy. We can machine any complex parts on our CNC turning and CNC Machining Center.
Brass C36000 alloy has the highest machinability of all copper alloys, extremely popular for parts that require strength, weight, or a polished surface finish. Available in round, square, hex, and tube stock at low costs, Brass 360 has a very wide range of applications, and is ideal for industrial and electronic industries. Unlike steel, 360 also forms a thin protective patina that does not rust.
Brass 360 has the highest machinability of all copper and brass alloys. It has fair hot forming properties and is not ideal for cold forming, welding, soldering, and brazing. Brass 360 can be forged and annealed.
Due to brass 360’s excellent machinability and the high return value of scrap, the net cost of machining brass is competitive with steel.

Welding:
UNS C36000 brass alloys can be welded using brazing, soldering, and butt welding methods. It is suggested that gas shielded arc welding, oxyacetylene welding, seam welding, coated metal arc welding, and spot welding methods are not used for welding these alloys.
Forging:
UNS C36000 brass alloys are forged at temperatures ranging from 705 to 788°C (1300 to 1450°F).
Hot Working
UNS C36000 brass alloys have average hot forming capacity.
Cold Working
UNS C36000 brass alloys have poor cold working capacity.
Annealing
Annealing of UNS C36000 brass alloys can be done at temperatures ranging from 427 to 594°C (800 to 1100°F).
