2A02 aluminum alloy is an alloy with higher strength in duralumin. Its characteristics are: it has high strength at room temperature, and it also has high thermal strength. It belongs to heat-resistant duralumin. 2A02 aluminum alloy has high plasticity during thermal deformation, and has a tendency to form coarse-grained rings in extruded semi-finished products. It can be strengthened by heat treatment and used in the state of quenching and artificial aging. Compared with 2A70 and 2A80 heat-resistant forged aluminum, the corrosion stability is better, but it has a tendency of stress corrosion cracking; the weldability is slightly better than 2A70, and the machinability is good.

Heat Treatment Specifications
1) Rapid annealing: heating at 350-370°C; depending on the effective thickness of the material, the holding time is 30-120min; air or water cooling.
2) Quenching and aging: quenching at 495～505℃, water cooling; artificial aging at 165～175℃, 10～16h, air cooling.
